OTOFIX Comparison D1 Pro VS D1 Lite OBDII Diagnostic Bidirectinal Best Scan Tools

Otofix Comparison D1 Pro VS D1 Lite. OBD Diagnostic bidirectinal scan tools.

https://youtu.be/X5wDsdV4H3U

This is a comparison video to show the differences between the OTOFIX D1 Pro, and the D1 Lite diagnostic scan tools. Both of these scanners have full bidirection control and full live data on all modules in most vehicles. The D1 PRO scan tool does have a few more software capabilities than the D1 Lite but most of those are extras are for makes/models that are not sold in the USA, with the exception being Audi and Volkswagen vehicles. However, the D1 PRO has a larger screen, bigger/faster processor, double the RAM, and double the storage, a much larger battery, etc, etc. Overall, the physical hardware of the D1 PRO makes the tool feel much snappier and quicker than the D1 Lite (and the Autel 808 series) and it gives a much better overall user experience. Both of these scan tool are capable both capable of doing the same work 99% of time but the D1 PRO is much faster a nicer to use. The one notable difference that I have personally noticed, and I showed in this videos, is the speed of the full system scan. The D1 Pro scan speed is absolutely incredible. Be sure to watch my demonstration in this video. I’m sure you’ll be surprised, too!

Autel MK808Z-BT OBD2 Diagnostic Scan Tool review & Demonstration. New!

Autel MK808Z-BT review and demonstration.

https://youtu.be/5F1UMJqBziw

The Autel MP808Z-BT is a brand new model for 2023. It features a new operating system of Android 11, which is roughly 10 years newer than the previous Android 4.4 that has been used on all the previous 808 scan tools. I also has a quicker processor, along with 4X the amount of ram compared to previous 808 models. The software in this new tool has been optimized to run smoother and faster on that new hardware. This is a full bidirectional control scanner. The new hardware and software combined with all of it’s features and diagnostic capabilities makes this one of the best scan tools on the market today, in my opinion. And best of all, it’s an Autel!…. No scan tool is perfect, but Autel scanners seem to work in most cases where other scan tools can really struggle.

BEWARE: The previous 808 scan tools with their decade old operating system, and slower processors with barely enough RAM are still readily sold all over the internet today. Don’t be fooled. Most of these internet sales listings on various sites will CLAIM “New Version, 2023” etc…. But really, these are usually “new old stock” scan tools that have been in stock in various warehouses all around the world waiting for people to buy them. Then, once someone buys one of these older scan tools, the new owner will do a software update (because updates are included for 1 year) and instantly this older scan tool with SEEM new because it has the most current software….. However, it’s still running on the old operating system, and still has the slower processor with 4X less RAM. If you’re in the market for an Autel 808, this new MP808Z-BT is probably the model to get!

Thanks for stopping by.

LAUNCH X431 CRP919E Review. NEW OBD2 Bidirectional Diagnostic Scan Tool

LAUNCH X431 CRP919E review. NEW OBD2 bidirectional diagnostic scan tool. This tool cometes directly with the XTOOL D7 and the AUTEL 808 series of scan tools.

https://youtu.be/MRNXJVWaxrw

I review the LAUNCH X431 CRP919E OBDII bidirectional scan tool that was recently released to compete directly with the XTOOL D7, and the AUTEL 808 series of automotive scanners. This tool features bidirectional control consisting of resets, actuation tests and special functions. You can view all live data PIDS from all modules in the vehicle in either text form, or graph form. This tool with also record selected live data PIDS and it will allow for playback at up to 4X speed. It is also compatible with the newer protocols of CAN FD and DoIP. The tool physically reminds me of the many Snap-on scanners because of its red body with black trim around the edges and especially its physical buttons. It’s VERY Snap on ish… The mechanical buttons are really nice for when your fingers are covered in grease and the screen won’t respond to their touch. It also has an “automatically connect” feature that can be toggles on/off in the setting menu. This features makes the tool automatically auto-vin the vehicle and intimately start a full system scan when the data cable is connected to a vehicle. All this happens by simply plugging in the data cable to the DLC port in the vehicle. This is the only tablet style of scan tool that I have reviewed on my YouTube channel to have physical buttons, and the “auto connect” option. Those are two features that no other scanners have…. at least that I know of anyway. The LAUNCH brand of scan tool is a favorite among professional mechanics and hobbyists. If you read through any tool forums, subreddits, or any other automotive related social media sites then you will see (read) that LAUNCH is a very well like brand all over the internet. If you’re in the market for this level of scan tool, then take a close look at this new LAUNCH model….. it might just be what you’re looking for.

Autel MP808Z-TS Diagnostic Scan Tool Review. NEW Model With NEW Hardware. Watch Before You Buy

Best Autel 808 scan tool on the market today! The Autel MP808Z-TS. Diagnostic Scan Tool Review. NEW Model With NEW Hardware. Watch Before You Buy

The Autel MP808Z-TS is a brand new model for 2023. This is a full bidirectional control scanner, with a full featured TPMS tool included. You basically get a pro level bidirectional scan tool, along with a full feature TPMS tool all rolled into the same device. The TPMS functionality of this tool is equal to the MaxiTPMS TS608 stand alone TPMS tool, which is roughly 600 bucks (give or take) if you had to buy that tool by itself. The new hardware and software combined with all of it’s features between the diagnostic capabilities, and the TPMS capabilities, makes this one of the best scan tools on the market today, in my opinion. And best of all, it’s an Autel!…. No scan tool is perfect, but Autel tools seem to work in most cases where other scan tools can really struggle.

BEWARE: The older 808 scan tools with their ancient operating system, and slower processors with barely enough RAM are still readily sold all over the internet today. Don’t be fooled. All of these internet sales listings on various sites will CLAIM “New Version, 2023” etc…. But really, these are “new old stock” scan tools that have been in stock in various warehouses all around the world waiting for people to buy them. Then, once someone buys one of these older scan tools, the new owner will do a software update (because updates are included for 1 year) and instantly this older scan tool with SEEM new because it has the most current software….. but it’s still running on the old operating system, and still has the slower processor with 4X less RAM. If you’re in the market for an Autel 808, this is the model to buy!

XTOOL IP819 Review. OBDII Diagnostic Scan Tool. New in late 2022

I review the brand new XTOOL IP819 OBD2 diagnostic scan tool. This OBD2 scanner will read and reset all diagnostic trouble codes, (DTC) for every module in the vehicle. This scan tool also has full bidirectional control with actuation tests and special functions such as crank relearn and other system resets. This XTOOL model has basically the same features and functions as the XTOOL D8 but with a 1 inch smaller screen and slightly smaller battery, and of course a lower price.

This tool has a bunch of functionality for the price. If you’re looking for a scan tool with full bidirectional control but you don’t want to break the bank with a tool that has really fancy hardware (like a huge high resolution scree, wirless VCI, etc) then this tool might be for you.

Possible correction: In the video when I am reading the list of specs, when I get the spot where it says “processor: 2 G” I pause for a second and then I say something like “that must be a misprint, the system has 2 gigabytes of ram, and 32 gigabytes of storage”. Well, it is possible that the specs were correct and it actually meant the processor is 2 GHz (gigahertz) which is the speed of the processor. And if that is the case, then it has a newer, faster processor than previous XTOOL models. Sorry for the confusion.
