I review the new Xtool D9 Pro, which is the upgraded version of the D8/A80 line of diagnostic scan tools. This tool comes in two flavors, The D9, and the D9 Pro. (I will list the differences between the two models near the bottom of this video description) This is a brand new model for 2022 and it’s the first Xtool OBDII scanner to feature their new module topology mapping software. The D9 is ready for the future, too…. it’s compatible with the newer DoIP and CAN FD protocols. It has full bidirectional control, with 35+ special functions including ABS brake bleed. It’s also capable of ECU coding and ECU programming. (on only certain makes of vehicles) The BEST PART is the initial purchase price includes THREE YEARS of free software and make/model updates. The difference between the D9, and the D9 Pro is:
- D9 Pro supports ECU CODING for BMW / VW / AUDI / Škoda / BENZ…. The D9 only supports the VW / AUDI / Škoda.
- D9 Pro supports ECU PROGRAMMING for BMW/ VW / AUDI / Škoda / BENZ / FORD (Offline) / MAZDA (Offline)…. the D9 does not.
Both of them come with the NON-OBD2 connector Kit
