In this video I show how I reinforced the Harbor Freight COVERPRO portable garage tent to make it stronger and handle more snow load. I also show the parts and pieces that I used to complete the project. The video is full of build tips, add- ons, improvements, structural reinforcements, modifications, ideas, and suggestions to make these temporary storage buildings last longer and stand up to stronger winds and heavier snow loads. Will this tent make it 6 months in a northern winter? We’re going to find out soon enough!
In this video we look at the all new XTOOL D7S OBDII bidirectional scan tool. The original D7 is an excellent diagnostic scan tool already but they made it even better with this new D7S. Things like a larger battery, a rear camera with flash, collapsible kickstand, more storage, etc…. along with the new graphical user interface (the part the user sees and interacts with) gives the new D7S a whole new look and feel. The D7 has always been highly regarded in the scan tool world for having full bidirectional software that is full of features and functions for a very affordable price. It’s hard to find any other scan tool that has more features and functions for a lower price. The D7 has been in the “sweet spot” of scan tools for several years at this point already, and now the new D7S moves into the “sweet spot”.
This is a comparison video to show the differences between the OTOFIX D1 Pro, and the D1 Lite diagnostic scan tools. Both of these scanners have full bidirection control and full live data on all modules in most vehicles. The D1 PRO scan tool does have a few more software capabilities than the D1 Lite but most of those are extras are for makes/models that are not sold in the USA, with the exception being Audi and Volkswagen vehicles. However, the D1 PRO has a larger screen, bigger/faster processor, double the RAM, and double the storage, a much larger battery, etc, etc. Overall, the physical hardware of the D1 PRO makes the tool feel much snappier and quicker than the D1 Lite (and the Autel 808 series) and it gives a much better overall user experience. Both of these scan tool are capable both capable of doing the same work 99% of time but the D1 PRO is much faster a nicer to use. The one notable difference that I have personally noticed, and I showed in this videos, is the speed of the full system scan. The D1 Pro scan speed is absolutely incredible. In this video I review the OTOFIX D1 Pro OBDII diagnostic scan tool. This bidirectional scan tool is a step up from the Autel 808 (or OTOFIX D1 Lite) series of scan tools. It has a larger screen, bigger and faster processor, newer Android operating system, faster Wifi, double the RAM and storage, larger battery, and it even has a few more features and functions. This automotive scanner is terrific! It’s an OTOFIX branded tool that is made and sold by Autel, and it runs on Autel software. The OTOFIX line of tools is an excellent and affordable way to get access to Autel software, AND you get those software updates free for TWO years, instead of only one year. If you’re in the market for a new scan tool, the OTOFIX line of scan tools should be near the top of anyone’s consideration list…. especially the D1 Pro as shown in this video. It’s a REALLY good solid scan tool. Be sure to check it out!
In this video I look at the VDIAGTOOL V200 Circuit Prob Tester…. which is very similar to the POWER PROBE III automotive electrical tester. I have experience with the Power Probe III and I can say this tool does the same work with the same features for roughly half the price of the PB3. (as of this video, early August 2023) If you do any automotive electrical work then you should probably have this tool in your tool box. It’s excellent for trailer wiring.
