XTOOL D7W, FIRST Scan Tool With WiFi VCI

https://youtu.be/54JuHonWrEM

BRAND NEW ITEM. Just in time for Black Friday deals. Must see even if you don’t buy.

The XTOOL D7W is the FIRST affordable scan tool to use a WiFi VCI instead of Bluetooth. This means the wireless connection between the vehicle and the scan tool is utilizing WiFi technology instead of Bluetooth technology. Which, to me, is a really big deal! WiFi is light years ahead of Bluetooth in terms of speed, bandwidth, and wireless range. In this video I do a range test and I get very impressive results. I will probably do another video in the near future to determine maximum distance of the WiFi VCI but I ran out of room in this video and I still had a rock solid wireless connection between the scan tool and the VCI. (plugged into my vehicle) The new D7W is the wireless version of the D7S. Both are brand new models from XTOOL and they are both excellent scan tools. Okay, sure, there are SOME other scan tools in this world that DO use WiFi….. but those are few and far ultra high end tools that cost thousands of dollars. This tool is the first AFFORDABLE full bidirectional control scan tool that the majority of people can actually buy. In my opinion this is one of the biggest advancements in the entire scan tool industry since scan tools became Android based. I suspect all other scan tool manufacturers will be scrambling to design their own WiFi VCIs now that XTOOL has released this new D7W. This WILL become the new standard for all scan tools, eventually… If you’ve been looking at new scan tools, this one is definitely worth taking a second look at. The D7 series of scan tools has always had excellent value (maybe the best value of all scan tools) when you consider their overall functionality VS price….. and now with a WiFi VCI, it’s an even better value.

Micro Air Easy Start Install on Carrier A/C Unit with GENMAX 9000 Inverter Generator Demonstration.

Micro air easy start install on carrier AC unit with Genmax 9000 inverter generator

https://youtu.be/keRaj4Gyi5Y

In this video I explain (and show) how to install a Micro Air Easy Start soft starter on my Carrier A/C condensing unit. The air conditioner in this video is only a 1.5 ton unit but it’s locked rotor amp rating is still fairly high at 48 amps. That is a lot of inrush current to over come for portable generators that are being used as a stand by generator. Or even for a solar power battery bank and inverter system. It’s very hard to start A/C systems when NOT using grid power. The Micro Air easy starter lowered my inrush amperage from 47 amps down to 15-16 amps for startup current. Not bad at all! Once I am finished with showing you the installation that i did, I then connect my Genmax 9000 inverter generator that I use for backup power when the grid goes down in my area. The 9000 Genmax is a little bit overkill for my needs now that I have the Micro Air Easy starter installed but having extra power is never a bad thing in my opinion. I can now have the eco throttle ON when running my generator to keep fuel consumption and noise levels down while running my AC. The Genmax 9000 barely makes a burp when my air conditioner starts up and then instantly goes back to idle. This Genmax 9000IED generator is a beast when paired with a Micro Air easy Start. It’s a great combination that’s hard to beat!

An article about the Micro Air easy Starter:

The Micro Air Easy Start has emerged as a game-changer in the air conditioning industry, specifically designed to address the challenges of starting and running AC systems using generators and solar power banks. This innovative device offers improved efficiency, reduced energy consumption, and an enhanced user experience. In this article, we explore the technical specifications and features of the Micro Air Easy Start, highlighting its significant impact on air conditioning technology and its role in enabling AC systems to operate efficiently with alternative power sources.

  1. Reducing Inrush Amperage for Generator and Solar Power Compatibility:
The Micro Air Easy Start was originally invented to solve the problem of high inrush amperage when starting air conditioning systems. Traditional AC units draw a significant surge of current during startup, which can overload generators or strain solar power banks. The Easy Start addresses this issue by significantly reducing inrush amperage by up to 75%. This technology allows AC systems to be easily started and efficiently operated with generators and solar power banks, expanding their usability in off-grid locations or during power outages.
  2. Additional Features and Convenience:
Beyond its power compatibility features, the Micro Air Easy Start offers convenient features for users. With its built-in Bluetooth module, users can monitor and control the device remotely through a dedicated mobile application. Real-time information on voltage levels, power consumption, and operational status empowers users to optimize their AC system’s performance and energy efficiency.

Conclusion:
The Micro Air Easy Start was specifically designed to address the challenges of starting and operating air conditioning systems with generators and solar power banks. By significantly reducing inrush amperage and providing seamless integration with alternative power sources, the Easy Start enables efficient and reliable cooling in off-grid locations, during power outages, or when relying on solar power. This innovative device not only enhances system efficiency but also promotes sustainable energy use. Embracing the Micro Air Easy Start opens up new possibilities for air conditioning systems, allowing them to operate effectively with generators and solar power, and contributing to a greener and more accessible future for cooling technology.

How To Install A Battery Disconnect Switch On Your Vehicle Without Permanent Modification.

How To Install A Battery Disconnect Switch On Your Vehicle Without Permanent Modification.

https://youtu.be/aD1usX2D8Fk

In this video I show how-to install a “Flaming River Big Switch” battery disconnect switch WITHOUT any permanent modification to the vehicle, whatsoever. This vehicle now sits for long periods of time without being driven and I am sick of having a dead battery every time I go to use the truck, which is not very often these days. Modern vehicles are constantly consuming small amounts of energy even when they are turned off to keep the vehicle’s computer alive. Those small amount of energy add up over time and can cause a battery to go dead over long periods of sitting. (or, in storage) The installation in this video can be completely undone and the vehicle is able to go completely back to stock form with no traces of the battery disconnect switch ever being installed. I used the Flaming River Big Switch only because that is what I had sitting on the shelf. It is overkill for this application but it’s what I already had so the price was right. This project can be duplicated with a much cheaper disconnect switch. Also, in this particular installation the vehicle uses a side post battery, with side post battery cables. However, if your vehicle uses a top post battery, with top post battery cables, the process will be very similar, but you will use top post cables instead. So now, as long as I remember to turn the switch off, I should always have a battery with a full charge when I go to drive that truck.

The vehicle in this video is a 2006 GMC 2500 SLE 4×4 with 5.3 gas engine.
