The recent update on the XTOOL D7 added many new features and special functions to this already great diagnostic scan tool. The upgrade added vehicle-specific functions, such as Fuel Trim Reset, fuel alcohol composition reset, fuel injector balance, EVAP service bay test, reset transmission adaptation, passenger presence system re-zero, crankshaft variation re-lean, etc. It basically made the D7 function exactly the same as the D8, with the exception of some ECU coding and configuration abilities on some makes/models. This is a huge upgrade and makes the D7 probably the lowest price scan tool on the market with this much capability. (as of the day this video was uploaded, anyway. Things can change with time) If you’re in the market for a new scan tool, you must give this tool some consideration. If you already have a D7, be sure to download the new update to get all of this new functionality goodness. There was a glitch getting my D7 scan tool to download and install this new update correctly…. I show in this video how to force the device to pull down the new software package.
