TOPDON Phoenix Lite 2 Bidirectional Control and Live Data
TOPDON Phoenix Lite 2 Bidirectional Control and Live Data. Special functions, Actuation tests, and Live data stream
In this video I take a closer look at the special function, actuation tests, and live data pids on this scan tool using a modern test vehicle, a 2022 Kia K5. The test vehicle in my previous video featuring the TOPDON Phoenix Lite 2 was a 2006 GMC full size truck. There is a big difference in the amount of overall data pids and bidirectional control between that older vehicle and a brand new car. BIG difference!
My previous TOPDON Phoenix Lite 2 video that give a complete overview of this scan tool can be found here: https://youtu.be/KUL7bFuvFp0

How To – Quick Electrical Wiring Tip
How To – Quick Electrical Wiring Tip
I show a quick wiring tip for working with stranded THHN, or any stranded primary electrical wire. This how-to trick makes it easy to handle stranded wire and to keep everything neat and tidy. It’s real easy to turn your stranded wire into a birds nest when making screw connections. This wiring tip helps to prevent the birds nest. This tip was taught to me by a friend of mine about 20 years ago while I was wiring my shop. It was taught to him back when he was an apprentice by the master electrician he was working with at that time. This tip is no secret, it’s been around a long time, but I haven’t seen anyone mention it on YouTube yet (I’m sure someone has, I just haven’t seen it) so I figured a quick video showing this trick might be helpful for someone, some day….
Foxwell NT809BT OBDII Diagnostic Scan Tool Review. NEW!
Foxwell NT809BT OBDII Diagnostic Scan Tool Review. NEW! 4K
Foxwell NT809BT OBDII Diagnostic Scan Tool Review. This is a very familiar scanner since I already reviewed the NT809 NON BT several months ago. This new NT809BT is basically the exact same tool, but it’s Bluetooth wireless instead of being a corded tool. This video is a rough overview of the tool since my original review of the original corded tool already exists here on YouTube. This Foxwell OBD2 scanner is a very capable tool with a fair amount of bidirectional control. You can graph live data, save live data, and keep a vehicle history all within the tool itself. This new tool also comes with a blow mold case instead of the hard canvas bag the original Nt809 came in. The tool physically seems very well built with a responsive touchscreen with ample brightness for bright daytime viewing. If you’re in the market for a good scan tool with above average capabilities, make sure you put this one on your list of considerations…. it’s pretty good!

XTOOL D7 Major Upgrade Added New Features And Special Functions.
XTOOL-D7-Major-Upgrade-Added-New-Features-And-Special-Function
The recent update on the XTOOL D7 added many new features and special functions to this already great diagnostic scan tool. The upgrade added vehicle-specific functions, such as Fuel Trim Reset, fuel alcohol composition reset, fuel injector balance, EVAP service bay test, reset transmission adaptation, passenger presence system re-zero, crankshaft variation re-lean, etc. It basically made the D7 function exactly the same as the D8, with the exception of some ECU coding and configuration abilities on some makes/models. This is a huge upgrade and makes the D7 probably the lowest price scan tool on the market with this much capability. (as of the day this video was uploaded, anyway. Things can change with time) If you’re in the market for a new scan tool, you must give this tool some consideration. If you already have a D7, be sure to download the new update to get all of this new functionality goodness. There was a glitch getting my D7 scan tool to download and install this new update correctly…. I show in this video how to force the device to pull down the new software package. If you’re having any trouble getting the update on your D7, be sure to watch this video to see the fix.
In this video I mention certain things from my previous D7 and D8 videos for comparison. Those videos can be found here:
